The old guesthouse was finally demolished. This is where most of the guests - including King Haakon VII - stayed at Gulla. It was also the oldest house left at the farm, with some parts more than 200 years old. It was completed by Captain Matheson in the mid 19th century, though Fleetwood Sandeman built an additional veranda in the 1880s.

-Biscoe and my great uncle was Fleetwood Sandeman who as you know owned Gulla for some yearsand many of my family had wonderful holidays there including my grandparents who spent their honeymoon ca 1905 the
lascelles who were equally related to Sandeman.
also spent holidays there.
Anyway,the point of my contacting you is that I have wonderful photographs and paintings of my relations visits tho' some have obviously been scatterd to the winds! Amongst our memorabilia is a wonderful illustraed book of paintings and comments of a visit by the Lascelles which has come to my possesion by inheritance. I think you may be interested to see it.
